Nasi kandar: Kassim Mustafa,KL.

When we were undergrads in penang, we loved to go to Kassim Mustafa's Restaurant, one of the nasi kandar restaurants spread in Penang. Their special dishes are the rice with the 'gulai ' chicken with some sort of coconut sambal. It is best  to taste while hot. But they serve this dishes at 2.00 am! So we had to wait for it.

At that hours, the customer usually the party people.hehe.. ..:).

So happen  last friday, my old buddy from Kuching came to KL for some course. So we set-up a meet-up.We arrived at 11.20PM, party people just start to fill-up the Bars, along the Doraisamy stretch (Mojo, Atrium etc)

Only four of us can make it, Nadzli, Idris, Jan and  me, we decided to eat at Kassim in Jalan Doraisamy.

The foods still scent the same and the taste still the same. The only change is the chicken size,it is very big ( biotech is godzilla), I can't even fisnished it ( I already ate nasi lemak with Milin before.hehe..). But the boys still can finished it. Welldone!

Yesterday, after work, I fetched iffah from her nursery. We went straight home, then iffah ran to her aquarium.
There a floating dead fish. Iffah quickly told me," daddy,fish didn't swim".
I checked, yes, a fish is dead. I took the dead fish and put it away.
The other, four fish remain fine. Iffah asked why the dead.
So after the CSI, I realised that the surface water was quite oily, then I remember, the nite before, Iffah stirred the water using her olive oil bottle(nowadays, she quite experimenting new things and with a tonne of questions).So there's the culprit(I guess la)

So the answer to Iffah question goes as, "the poor fish can't breath due to the dirty water". Then I asked her not put any unneeded things inside the aquarium. She seems to understand.

Then I had to clean and change the water.

Until this morning the fishes seem fine.

what pet do you have?

we promised Iffah to get her the fishes for her pet after Raya. So last weekend me and Iffah went to Bangi to buy some stuff for the mini aquarium. Iffah choose the aquarium and the fishes by herself. She said, "I want some small orange fish'. so lucky me, the guppy is small,orange and most of all cheap and easy to care. It's accordingly to her spec and mine.

Yesterday,she put a lot of fish food in her aquarium because she said she don't want the fishes get hungry while she went out with Milin to Kinrara Giant for a meeting.Hehe..
So after work, I have to clean the aquarium again-lucky again, it is small.hehe..

Hopefully the fish will survive. InsyaAllah.

I don't want to go to school- iffah

This week, Iffah had to go to her nursery,because milin had to settle something.(usually iffah will stay with milin for 3 days and spend 2
days at her nursery, while milin off to her office).
So for the last two days,Tuesday and Wednesday, iffah had no problem going to nursery because she still sleeping while milin sending her. This moring she wake-up early, -way too early-,she watched tv while we
had our sahur, after that she didn't sleep. After 7.00 am, she start to cry about not going to nursery. She had many reasons,today she said she want to watch cartoon on the tv downstairs, milin asked her to watch at
her nursery than she said, she shy to watch it there???!!! shy???..hehe..
But finally ,milin managed to bath her and prepared her stuff, while me cabut to office.hehe.. clever me.(milin don't mad aaa...)
I called milin at 8.30 am, she said iffah already when to nursery,after
a visit at the 'on the run' shop to by some Oreo and Locker biscuit.

iffah's funny statement

1.last week, milin cooked pan-cake with banana slices on top of it. Iffah looked at it and she want milin to take all the bananas off.
Milin asked why she didn't want the bananas.
Iffah said the Mc donald didn't have it.
LoL...

How do I make pancakes?
Prep time 5 min

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted ( = 45 gr )

DIRECTIONS:
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg
and melted butter; mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using
approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

13 ramadhan 1430

time is moving so fast.
13 ramadhan already, wah so fast lar.

There is one funny memory about fasting. It's happen in ramadhan 1428. As for info, all my neighbours are chinese families.the left side the right side and in the front.
They are really good neighbours.For example, when we 'sidai' the clothes and then we went outing-the neighbour will help to pull the clothes hanger under the porch if it raining. We also do our part if they are not home. Whata cool neighbours that we have. Thank God.
So back to the story. It happen when our neighbour(left side) just had their first baby(it's a boy). So we went to their house for a visit- it during ramadhan-mind you-so they give us can drink for tapau. We brought iffah along at that time- so they gave her vitagen, I just simply took the straw and put it into the drink, so iffah just drink it. then the neighbour's mother asked," budak kecik talak puasa ka?". Miln," just simply said, " little ones don't need to fast yet."
Then after the talk-talk, we went back to our house. It was quite funny incident.
Early this year our neighbour father passed away due to some bone cancer- we remembered him as a friendly man- he used to give us some durians and bananas whenever they came back from kampung in perak.

2nd preggy:update

3rd actual: milin had a miscarriage last year.

month:the baby is four months old,well develop.
sex: unknown-will scan end of this month.
milin condition: still thin,still nauseous.(may be due to ramadhan's fasting)
Iffah: "yea! yea! iffah nak ada adik".

YeeHaa!
tommorow morning, we are off to new castle.this time, we'll drive using the coastal road, ust to enjoy the view and sample the cuisines along the road side.(Milin will love this, but don't know whether she will be enjoying it- due to the preggy... hehe..). Iffah definitely gonna enjoy this trip.
So we will be crossing KL-Selangor-Pahang-Terengganu- Kelantan.

It's gonna be along drive.

Update: Milin is having a little bad nauses.Poor her,that why people said heaven is under mom's foot. Only moms know better! To milin:Thank you and I Love You!
So peeps out there , how often do we say thank you to our beloved mother?
To Hjh Norhani bt Salleh, Thank you for carrying me for 9 months,care for me, love me and what not.

Nauses during preggy: Unfortunately, there is no one tried and true method that will relieve everyone's case of morning sickness. The only way to find what works for you is by trial and error. Here some ideas to try:

•Avoid warm places as heat can increase the nausea feelings.

•Take naps during the day (but not right after eating).

•Get enough sleep at night.

•Get out of bed slowly in the morning.

•Try eating plain crackers or dry cereal before you get out of bed in the morning.

•Open windows or turn on exhaust fans when cooking and after meals.

•Cooking in the microwave usually produces less odors.

•Silly as it sounds, carry a handkerchief with a few drops of a non nausea causing essential oil (lemon for example) in it and breath through it if you can't get away from the smell that is bothering you.

•Avoid greasy or spicy foods as they often cause nausea or heartburn.

•Eat what you want when you want it. Your cravings will not lead you the wrong way.

•Have frequent protein snacks. (Low fat meats and seafood, nuts, eggs and beans are high protein.)

•Eat smaller meals every two hours or so.

•Eating something salty before a meal can help you "make it through" a meal.

•Do not drink fluids with your meals.

•Non caffeinated teas like peppermint and ginger can help came nausea.

•Drink small amounts of fluids regularly though out the day to avoid dehydration.

•Do not skip meals if you can help it.

•Avoid spicy and fried food - both eating and smelling it can increase your nausea.

•Cold food may have less nausea inducing smells associated with them

The vespa and me had an accident last month,some dent here and there for the vespa.As for me, a big swollen just above the left knee and a deep bruise on the right elbow. Damn it, just had the vespa out from the workshop about a month. But most of all, Alhamdulillah, I'm still breathing.Went to the Columbia Asia Hospital, done the x-ray, MRI and Scan. Result: No teared ligament,no cracked bone, Just some bleeding between the skin due the impact.It's Really hurt!
Got MC for two weeks.

MJ is dead!
Whata shocking news! I heard it on the TV while resting on the bed(due to the acci) in home sweet home,Panji.
I still remember (Remember the time_MJ) when I was in primary school, my sis,kak long,was listening to all the 80's music, so she had quite a lot of the music tapes,(the price is about rm8-15 that time). So I also had the chance to listen to those wonderful 80's musics.Duran-duran, George Micheal,Boy George,the police, bad company,prince, billy joel and of course the King,MJ.
Billie Jean, Beat it and Thriller are the fav!Everybody listen to them during that time. Moonwalk is the walk.

BBQ@pakngah house in melawati

20 June 2009.A small gathering was done in pak ngah house in melawati, organized by Mira, milin's cousin. It should be all the milin's cousins on her father side were there but of course it is difficult to get all of them.
It start at 5.30 pm for the bbq, and we arrived at 6.30 pm even though we left our house at 4pm,there was an accident in jalan sungai besi.
The BBQ are great, chicken, sausage, veges , potatos and follow by mee and cake. Yummy!
The boys, enjoyed smoking shisha after the eating event.
Iffah enjoyed herself at the organ.

To sums it all, We really Enjoyed!

the Vespa: Update III

Vespa welcome back process.
Saturday 2th 2009 : I test ride it on .Seem everything is ok.
Mr Suresh want to repaired some dent,his mistake.So I ok with it.
Monday 4th 2009 : I pay all the bill.
Tuesday 5th 2009 : wonder when I can take the vespa home?
Wednesday 6th 2009: I mind keep on thinking about vespa.
Thursday 7th 2009 : When?When?When?
Friday 8th 2009 : Damn it, waiting is torture!
Saturday 9th 2009 : I take the vespa at 11.25 am,ride to the petrol station,petrol fill-up,ride home,wash it,dry it, respray some scratches. change the grip, polish, put on the spare tyre, clean the seat from the oil: done at 3.00pm. Test ride in the evening with iffah. so far so good.
Sunday 10th 2009 : all day outing, kenduri @ semenyih and a photoshoot @ setiawangsa.No ride today.:(.
Monday 11th 2009 : Ride to work, Yeah! whata feeling, the engine is reviving and i'm seating on it.hahahaha!. Then, after a few km at the highway, I try to full throttle, the machine is not going comparable to the oil input. WTF! But the machine is still ok at the low iol input, the vespa just going like 30 to 40 kph. It use to be running 100kph. ???!!. Need to send to the workshop again. !!!!!!!
Argghhhh!!!!!

Hi,morning!

Last nite we when to the Annexe gallery for the kl photo awards 2009-photo finalist exibition.

The results are as expected, my wife didn't make it.hehe.. But still her photo is listed as the finalist from 500 entries. The gallery was filled with a bunch of arty guys, except us.hehehehe... may be from now on, we should attend more art functions. We meet a few of the cool, humble,arty photographers at gallery.

The picture of Farisya look very nice hanging on the wall. I'm very proud of my beloved wife for her achievement. Milin, congrats! This is it!!

As for the peoples choice, Milin got listed at number 6. Many thanks for the cool, hot voters.(You know who you are!)
